Alicia Diane Carner-McDonald is a dedicated leader, entrepreneur, and servant of God with a passion for ministry, music, and inspiring others. Born the eldest of three daughters to Pastor and Mrs. John Wesley Carner, Alicia was raised in a faith-filled environment that shaped her calling to serve. She resides in Locust Grove, Georgia, with her husband, Larry T. McDonald, and their two sons, Carner Jedaiah and Caeden Wesley.

Alicia is the CEO and founder of two thriving ventures: Carner McDonald Consulting LLC, which specializes in providing organizational, administrative, and management support to churches and small businesses, and CMC LLC Presents, a faith-based apparel brand offering inspirational and uplifting designs.

A seasoned leader with over 30 years of experience in worship and arts ministry, Alicia has served in numerous roles, including Choir Director, Praise and Worship Leader, Worship & Arts Coordinator, Director of Worship & Arts, and Church Administrator. Her time as Church Administrator demonstrated her exceptional ability to oversee operations, manage ministries, and provide strategic guidance to enhance the church’s mission. She currently serves as Minister of Music, Worship, and Arts at The House of Hope Macon where she combines her expertise and love for ministry to guide and inspire worship experiences.

In January 2025, Alicia was officially licensed to preach the Gospel by Pastor Dr. J.C. Howard, of The House of Hope Macon. This sacred affirmation further solidified her lifelong call to ministry and expanded her service beyond music and worship into the preaching and teaching of God’s Word.

Creativity is central to Alicia’s ministry. She is passionate about writing music, creating original cantatas and other artistic productions that glorify God. Her ability to run and grow a productive, Spirit-led worship and arts ministry reflects her deep commitment to excellence. Alicia thrives in leadership, operating and excelling in every aspect of worship ministry, from administration to musical direction.

Alicia’s academic credentials include a Master’s in Management and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. She has also earned Competency-Based Certifications and Professional Experience Recognition in music, along with accreditation in piano and voice. However, one of her most treasured gifts is teaching and directing choirs—a passion she has nurtured for over three decades.

Currently, Alicia serves as Instructor and Director of the Fort Valley State University Choir in Fort Valley, Georgia. In August 2026, under her direction, the Fort Valley State University Choir won the inaugural Stellar Award for HBCU Choir of the Year, a historic achievement recognizing the excellence, dedication, and impact of the choir program. She is also the founder and director of The Young Angelics, a community choir based in the Middle Georgia area, a member of her family’s singing groups, The Carner Connection, and Carner Sisters.

Alicia’s ministry has taken her across the United States, where she has shared the Gospel through singing, teaching, and worship leadership. Her life is a testament to her unwavering faith, humility, creativity, and commitment to serving others through her gifts and talents.
